Our world is growing ever more complex demanding real-time evidence-based analysis to inform effective decision making, policy and analysis. We represent governments, international organizations and major international development industry clients in strategic analysis, policy, planning and evaluation. We have rendered policy advice, planning and analysis to the United Nations (U.N.), the World Bank, the United States Department of State, the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) and other clients to foster international development and peace. This work spans the justice, human rights and security sectors.
The firm has extensive experience in rule of law, access to justice, human rights, sustainable development, anti-corruption, and security sector reform programming in conflict and post-conflict environments. This includes support to the achievement of the U.N. Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) including SDG-16 and its affiliated targets as well as the U.N. Global Compact. Member of the firm, Richard Langan, is one of the world’s leading rule of law experts and has consulted to the United Nations and other international organizations in conflict and post-conflict zones including Iraq and Afghanistan on behalf of the U.N. and is the lead-author of numerous reports and evaluations. We recently served as the lead-consultant on an evaluation of the $1 billion dollar budgeted “Law and Order Trust Fund for Afghanistan” (LOTFA) funded by 17 countries and managed by the United Nations Development Programme.
We also prepare detailed expert legal analysis for planning and program design that impact the lives of women, children and other vulnerable groups across the globe. We routinely perform international, foreign and comparative legal research on both public and private law issues. We conduct reconnaissance and political risk research to position leading international development industry clients to effectively compete in the multi-billion dollar international development industry. We recently supported a client in its contract bid with USAID and the U.S. Department of State for a $30 million justice sector development program.
