Introduction

LANGAN, PLLC is the law and consulting practice of Richard H. Langan II.  The firm has two components: a core law practice and a global ESG consulting practice.

LANGAN, PLLC provides legal services, advice, and analysis to individuals, start-ups, businesses, corporations, funds and foundations on their incorporation, corporate governance and compliance, private equity, contract drafting, and negotiation, SaaS agreements, privacy, media, and tech. This includes companies seeking to do business in the United States and U.S. companies transacting business overseas. A highly motivated attorney and international legal counsel, Richard Langan has broad legal knowledge and experience in general corporate law and governance as well as international law. He has analyzed legal issues under the laws of more than 35 countries worldwide; and has advised the United Nations and other clients in active conflict zones such as Afghanistan and Iraq. He is accustomed to advocating and negotiating with industry leaders and senior government officials worldwide. Richard holds a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Tulane Law School and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from Columbia Law School; and is licensed to practice law in New York and Colorado. He currently serves as Chair of the Foreign & Comparative Law Committee of the New York City Bar Association and is the NYCBA’s Delegate to the International Bar Association (IBA). He sits on the NYCBA’s “Task Force on Digital Technologies” and its “Working Group on Business and Human Rights.” He is a member of the American Bar Association, Section of International Law and Practice.
