ESG and International Consulting

ESG

LANGAN, PLLC represents corporations, governments, international organizations, NGOs and major international development industry clients to support their ongoing Environmental Social Governance (ESG) reporting, risk analysis and mitigation procedures and policies.

We are familiar with the “architecture” of ESG including key international standards and indicators related to ESG and business conduct such as proposed U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), ISSB and European Union rules on ESG-related disclosures; the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Standards; the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) standards; the IIRC International Integrated Reporting (IR) Framework; the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) framework;, the U.N. Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs); the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC); major International Human Rights conventions and treaties, as well as anti-corruption laws. Referencing these rules, standards and frameworks as applied to your business or corporation, allows us to contribute analysis, informed opinion and insight to your organization’s ESG reporting, risk analysis and risk mitigation efforts. We can also assist you in interfacing and advocating with governments, regulators, insurers and the media when required.

Our work encompasses strategic analysis, policy, planning and evaluation. The firm has rendered opinions on some of the most sensitive international conflicts and has helped societies to transition from conflict to peace. We conduct worldwide reconnaissance and analysis to position international development industry clients to effectively compete for multi-million dollar procurement awards and contracts.

Richard Langan has worked on issues in over 35+ countries globally on behalf of the United Nations and other organizations. He provides high-level analysis, advice and evaluation for rule of law, access to justice, human rights, anti-corruption, anti-terrorism and security sector reform in conflict and post-conflict environments. He has also consulted to the U.S. Department of State/United States Agency for International Development (USAID). Richard has served in conflict and post-conflict zones (i.e., Iraq, Afghanistan, South Sudan, Rwanda, Burundi, Liberia, etc.) on behalf of the U.N. and other clients.

When necessary we can deploy worldwide to field locations within a 24-72 hour window depending on the location and logistics required. We offer “remote-access” and consulting services via online platforms and consultations when travel to international field locations is not possible or economically feasible.
